my computer is dead.

i attempted to change the video card, but the new one didnt fit (pci-e, i didnt realize). unfortunately, as i attempted to reinstall the old video card (to get me by for the time being) the poor thing didn’t make it through the operation. i did everything i could, but the old thing just couldn’t hold on.

he is survived by a fourth generation ipod, collection of dell monitors, and a 120gb hard drive. he will be missed.

the new motherboard, processor, etc. ships tomorrow morning, so i should be back on my virtual feet by next week.

Sarah’s new video takes the typical celebrity-on-a-mission and puts her money where her mouth is. This really puts things into perspective, and the video is very well done from a graphics standpoint. I do have to wonder how much they actually ended up spending on the video, because motion graphics as pretty as those don’t come for $15. Still, it’s a cool idea.

These advertisements from Lyndon B. Johnson’s 1964 presidential campaign are creepy, in a “my opponent will lead the nation to nuclear war” kind of way. Six in all, with varying degrees of creepiness. [link]

Well some good news, tonight my concentration “Tulsa, 3 a.m.” won the gold award at the Creative Lightning awards. Not too big of a deal, but kinda cool, and I got a certificate. It certainly makes me more anxious to enter my work in other contests, and I’m looking into getting some of my work into a gallery somewhere, so we’ll see how that pans out.

Okay so in reality, she’s not a cheeseball, but her (recently flushed, newly renovated) blog is a great place to read some witty office musings and see some pretty cool photos. Kudos Jillian, thanks for being my first fan.
